The wetland bird monitoring initiative was launched in March 2014 and has been conducted uninterrupted to the present day, reflecting a long-term commitment to avian biodiversity assessment. This citizen science-driven effort follows a standardized monthly protocol, typically scheduled on the second Saturday of each month, commencing at 07:00 hours to coincide with peak bird activity during early morning hours.

All bird species seen or heard during the survey are meticulously recorded in a standardized checklist, which serves as the primary data collection tool. This checklist enables consistent documentation across time and space, supporting quantitative analysis of species richness, abundance trends, and habitat use patterns. The resulting dataset contributes to long-term ecological monitoring, conservation planning, and public awareness of wetland health.
